Frequently Asked Questions

General

Is PinotWalk free to use?

Since we are currently in beta, basic features are available for free.
We may introduce paid plans in the future.

Can I use it on my smartphone?

  • Currently, the main access method is through a browser.
  • A dedicated app is currently under development.

What browsers are supported?

  • We recommend the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Brave.
  • Internet Explorer is not supported.

Where is my data stored?

  • Data is stored on cloud servers both domestically and internationally.
  • Backups are performed in geographically distant regions.
  • All content is encrypted and securely managed.

Account

I forgot my password

  1. Click "Forgot Password" on the login screen
  2. Enter your registered email address
  3. Reset your password via the link in the email you receive

I want to change my email address

  1. Profile → Settings
  2. Edit "Email Address"
  3. Click the confirmation email sent to your new email address

I want to delete my account

  1. Profile → Settings
  2. Click "Delete Account"
  3. Confirm and delete

Note: Deleting your account will also delete all articles and data you have created.

AI Secretary

The Secretary doesn't respond

Please check the following:

  • Is your internet connection stable?
  • Try refreshing your browser
  • Try again after some time

When servers are busy, responses may take longer.

The Secretary's response was cut off

For long responses, the text may get cut off.
Type "continue" to generate the rest.

The Secretary doesn't reference past conversations

The Secretary remembers recent conversations, but
may forget very old conversations.
Please provide the necessary information again.

I was given incorrect information

AI can make mistakes.
Always verify important information with official sources.

Articles & Spaces

I can't save articles

Please check the following:

  • Is your internet connection stable?
  • Is there enough storage space in your browser?
  • Is the article too large?

I can't upload images

  • Supported formats: PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP
  • Maximum size: 10MB

If you still have issues despite meeting the above requirements, try compressing the image and uploading again.

I want to restore a deleted article

  • Deleted articles cannot be restored.
  • Please be careful when deleting.

I want to edit someone else's article

  • You need to have edit permissions granted by the Space owner.
  • Check your permissions in the Space settings.

Payments & Billing

When can I receive creator revenue?

Payments are processed at the end of each month and sent around the 15th of the following month.
For details, see 04 Advanced Settings.

Other

I found a bug

  • Please report it via the Bug Report Form.
  • We appreciate detailed information (steps to reproduce, error messages, etc.).

I want to request a feature

  • Please send your request via the Feedback Form.

Troubleshooting

Here are solutions for common problems.

Connection & Display Issues

Page doesn't load

Symptom: Screen is blank or shows an error message

Solution:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Refresh the browser (F5 key)
  3. Clear browser cache
  4. Try a different browser
  5. Wait and try again later

Layout is broken

Symptom: Layout looks wrong, text overlaps

Solution:

  1. Update your browser to the latest version
  2. Reset browser zoom to 100%
  3. Clear browser cache

Performance is slow

Symptom: Slow response, freezing

Solution:

  1. Close other tabs
  2. Restart the browser
  3. Disable unnecessary extensions
  4. Restart your device

Login Issues

Can't log in

Symptom: Nothing happens when clicking the login button

Solution:

  1. Disable popup blocker
  2. Enable cookies
  3. Try incognito/private mode
  4. Try a different browser

"Session expired" message appears

Symptom: Suddenly logged out during operation

Solution:

  1. Log in again
  2. Allow cookies in browser settings
  3. Exit private browsing mode

Can't log in with Google

Symptom: Google authentication screen doesn't appear

Solution:

  1. Disable popup blocker
  2. Check if you can access google.com
  3. Check your Google account 2-step verification

Secretary Issues

No response

Symptom: Nothing appears after sending a message

Solution:

  1. Wait a moment (up to 2 minutes)
  2. Refresh the page
  3. Try switching to a different Secretary
  4. Wait and try again later

Error message appears

Symptom: Messages like "An error occurred"

Solution:

  1. Resend the message
  2. Try a shorter message
  3. Refresh the page and try again

Report generation stopped

Symptom: Progress hasn't changed for a long time

Solution:

  1. Wait about 15 minutes (large reports take time)
  2. Refresh the page to check progress
  3. If not improving, request again in a new session

Article & Editing Issues

Can't save

Symptom: Error when pressing the save button

Solution:

  1. Check internet connection
  2. Copy content as backup
  3. Refresh the page and re-edit
  4. Split the article to reduce size

Can't upload images

Symptom: Error when selecting an image

Solution:

  1. Check file format (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP)
  2. Check file size (10MB or less)
  3. Rename file to alphanumeric characters only
  4. Compress the image and try again

Preview not showing

Symptom: Right side of the editing screen is blank

Solution:

  1. Check for errors in Markdown syntax
  2. Refresh the browser
  3. Try a different browser

Notification Issues

Not receiving notifications

Symptom: Not receiving email or browser notifications

Solution:

  1. Check if notification settings are enabled
  2. Check spam folder
  3. Check browser notification permissions

Information to provide:

  • Details of the problem
  • Date and time when the problem occurred
  • Browser and version you're using
  • Device you're using (PC/smartphone/tablet)
  • Error message (if displayed)
  • Screenshot (if possible)
